Have you ever had spicy hummus with kalamata olives? Yum! It’s so delicious & a favorite snack at my home. I like to serve it with pita bread or cucumber slices. This is a fantastic vegetarian & vegan appetizer to serve for a potluck! The flavor is a little bit tangy, a little bit spicy with a hint of salt & it goes so delicious with the kalamata olives & olive oil! If you’re not a spice fan you can certainly leave the cayenne pepper out! The best part about this dish is how delicious it is however it’s also very healthy, too!

Spicy Hummus with Kalamata Olives Ingredients

1 can of chickpeas
1/4 cup tahini
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tsp minced garlic
3/4 tsp salt
2 pinches paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp sugar
5-6 kalamata olives cut in half

Instructions

  1. mix all ingredients except kalamata olives and 1/2 the olive oil together in a food processor until smooth, add 1-2 tsp of water as needed if you want it less chunky
