How to Make a Perfect Fried Egg Sandwich

This recipe for how to make a perfect fried egg sandwich is heavenly! It’s very simple and delicious and I hope you love it. The secret is in how you cook the eggs prepare the bread! I love the tanginess of the mayo with the spiciness of the sriracha sauce. Yummmmm! My father used to pride himself on making the perfect fried egg. I learned this technique of preparing eggs from my dad and I hope you love it too! To me, it tastes perfect!

Ingredients

2 eggs
2 pieces of como bread (any bread will do)
mayonnaise
sriracha sauce
1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. heat half the butter on medium heat in a crepe pan or small frying pan until melted. Coat the bottom of the pan.
  2. toast bread on both sides in the pan until golden brown, set aside
  3. rinse pan off and melt the other half of the butter, coat the bottom of the pan
  4. crack the eggs into the pan and turn the heat on high, wait until the eggs start to crackle slightly and then turn the heat to medium low & cover the pan, cook for one minute
  5. turn the heat off, leave the lid on and cook for one more minute, set aside when done (remove lid)
  6. put a generous portion of mayo on one side of both pieces of bread & add some sriracha to each side
  7. place the eggs on one piece of bread, form the sandwhich and then cut in half

Tips: eggs should be slightly running and over easy but you can cook them more or less if you prefer a different style of egg. To cook them more simply leave the lid on for an extra minute or two let the eggs sit on the warm burner (heat off) You can serve this dish with any side that you would like. In the photo, it’s served with sliced cucumber and pickled beets.
