Do you love cucumber & grapefruit? Are you a gin fan? This recipe for a cucumber & grapefruit greyhound will not disappoint! You can even make this drink into a “salty dog” by adding salt to the rim of the glass! This is my variation on a classic cocktail called a “greyhound” which was actually named for the Greyhound Bus terminal! Apparently, Greyhound Bus used to have restaurants inside which served grapefruit cocktails! Fascinating! I hope you love this cucumber & grapefruit greyhound!
Cucumber & Grapefruit Greyhound Ingredients
1.5 oz Wild Roots cucumber & grapefruit gin
1.5 oz ruby red grapefruit juice (you can use freshly squeezed if you have it!)
slice of cucumber
Instructions
- pour the gin & grapefruit juice into a martini shaker & add ice
- shake until chilled
- strain over large icecube or without ice in a glass of your choice
- garnish with fresh cucumber slices
