Did you know you can make your own baked chili lime tortilla chips? This is a game-changer! These are so easy to make and only take about 10 minutes to bake! I was craving tortilla chips the other night and we didn’t have any in the pantry so I decided to make my own! I used some of my favorite flavors which are chili and lime and wow these turned out incredible! We have made them twice already. This will be my go-to recipe to serve with hummus! I plan to make more variations on this recipe, too! These chips go fabulous with salsa, hummus, or guacamole! They also are amazing all on their own! Enjoy, and please let me know in the comments what you think!
Chili Lime Tortilla Chips Ingredients
3 flour tortillas
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp lime juice
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
Instructions
- preheat the oven to 375°
- using kitchen scissors cut the tortillas into 24 triangles (8 triangles per tortilla)
- lay the tortillas down onto a silicone mat lined baking sheet
- mix all of the remaining ingredients together and then brush each tortillas triangle with the oil sauce
- once all of the tortillas have been brushed flip them over and then brush the other side
- bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes (until crispy), remove from heat, and let cool for 5 minutes before serving
Tips: the seasonings on the chips tend to blacken, but that’s ok. You can flip them halfway through to get a more even bake. Personally, I sort of love the blackened seasonings, they taste delicious!
