Are you ready to try these amazing cajun chicken wings? You are going to love them! I have recently been on an enormous wings kick and I have been making different types of marinades and rubs. This recipe is really simple and has only two ingredients which are butter and cajun seasoning. I like to make my cajun seasoning from scratch but you can also purchase this seasoning. Usually, around Mardi Gras, I get homesick for the days when I lived in New Orleans and I start craving Cajun food. As a result, I end up making a big batch of cajun seasoning and then I get creative with how I use it up. What can I say, I love spice!
This recipe is definitely an appetizer portion but you could totally make a huge tray of them if you made a bigger batch. This would be a fabulous super bowl Sunday pot luck dish! I hope you love it, please let me know in the comments what you think! Sending love to you all.
Baked Cajun Wings Ingredients (serves 2)
4 bone-in chicken wings
4 tbsp butter
2 tsp cajun seasoning
1/4 cup cream cheese (I like to mix the cajun seasoning into mine)
Instructions
- preheat the oven to 400°
- line a baking sheet with a silicone mat
- melt butter in the microwave or on the stove (if you microwave cover it or it will splash)
- pour butter and 1 tsp cajun seasoning into a mixing bowl, stir
- add the chicken to the bowl and toss it in the cajun butter sauce
- lay the chicken onto the baking sheet and then drizzle any extra butter on top
- sprinkle the tops of the wings with the remaining 1 tsp cajun seasoning
- bake uncovered for 30 minutes and then without opening the oven lower the temp to 170°
- bake for 45 more minutes
- serve with cajun cream cheese for dipping
Tips: this also goes great with cajun rice!
