Have you ever wanted to make your bloody mary mix at home? If you’re like me you adore bloody marys and you can’t get enough of them. I honestly usually don’t even add alcohol to mine because I just love the flavor of the spicy tomato juice. But, on special occasions do like to add gin or vodka to them!
If you’re wondering what type of topping to garnish this bloody mary with.. the sky is the limit! I like to keep a ton of pickled veggies in the fridge and then I serve this with as many as I can find! I love colossal olives, kalamata olives, dill pickle spears, pickled green beans, pickled asparagus, pickled beats… you name it! On occasion, I add bacon, deviled eggs, and jumbo shrimp! I hope you enjoy this mix!
Ingredients (makes 2 bottles)
1 large can of tomato juice (46 oz)
5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp horseradish
4 tbsp lemon juice
4 tsp Crystal hot sauce
4 tsp sriracha sauce
optional: homemade deviled egg
optional: jumbo shrimp
Instructions
- pour all of the ingredients into a large pitcher and stir
- divide evenly into two bottles with lids
- serve over ice with vodka or gin (it becomes a red snapper if you use gin)
- garnish with your favorite pickled veggies
Tips: this mix tastes best if it sits for a few days in the fridge and the horseradish marinates. I use a ton of Worcestershire sauce in this recipe so if you don’t like that ingredient you might try using less (it won’t taste as good, in my opinion – but with different strokes!)
